As a composer and performer, Nate Tucker’s interests are in exploring the gap between contemporary, pop, and world music. Mr. Tucker released his first full-length album Off Grid, on September 2015, at Boston Center for the Arts. Mr. Tucker is also the current Composer and Music Director for Mt. Auburn Cemetery’s A Glimpse Beyond.

Creating new opportunities and collaborations are a theme in Mr. Tucker’s work, residencies of 2016 include forming new work and opportunities in the community at CityPop Egleston, a pop-up art space in the heart of Egleston Square where diverse artists from across various disciplines work and collaborate together, as well as designing new instruments made from glass at Diablo Glass School.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

He has performed in American Repertory Theater’s (ART’s) Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812, Finding Neverland, and The Tempest. Fiddlehead Theater’s Priscilla Queen of the Desert. Mr. Tucker can be heard performing with the world-renowned contemporary music ensemble, Juventas, as core percussionist, as well as pop and world music groups including Flamenco Boston. ​
